Driver leaves scene after two car collision in Southgate

A driver fled the scene of a two car collision in Southgate this morning (Friday October 26), which saw one woman taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 9.14am in Southgate Avenue, close to Broadfield roundabout.

A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital suffering from abdominal pain.

Police said one car involved in the collision left the scene and officers are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “One car had left the scene and the driver of the other car was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“Anyone who has any details or saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 0350.”
