Information events are being held this month for residents to find out the latest on improvements to Ifield Mill Pond.
Crawley Borough Council, which will be restoring the dam, is hosting the drop-in events in the three neighbourhoods which adjoin the Mill Pond – Bewbush, Gossops Green and Ifield.
The council’s design team has been developing plans ready for submitting a planning application in November.
These plans will be explained at the information events and residents will be able to find out what is involved in the works and ask questions.
Cllr Ken Trussell, Cabinet member for Environment, said: “This is a long-term project but it’s vital we keep residents informed on progress throughout the planning and works.
“These events will give local residents the opportunity to find out what is going to happen, how it will affect them and for them to ask questions about the project.”
The events take place at:
Gossops Green Parade from 2-4.30pm, Tuesday October 22;
Gossops Green Community Centre from 5.30-8pm, Tuesday October 22;
Ifield Parade from 2-4.30pm, Wednesday October 23;
Ifield West Community Centre, Dobbins Place from 5.30-8pm, Wednesday October 23;
Dorsten Square from 2-4.30pm, Thursday October 24;
Bewbush Centre meeting room from 5.30-8pm, Thursday October 24;
Bewbush Academy main hall, Talk Bewbush meeting from 7pm, Thursday October 24.
A display will also be in the Town Hall reception area from Monday October 21 until Friday October 25.
