Five fire engines called to Gatwick for suspected fuel leak

Five fire engines were called to a false alarm at Gatwick Airport today (Thursday January 2).

A plane had to carry out an emergency landing due to a suspected fuel leak just before 11.30am.

Three fire engines from Crawley, one from East Grinstead and another from Horley attended the incident.

An investigation established there was a water leak on the aircraft.
