Fuel crisis latest

THE GROWING fuel crisis hit Crawley, with diesel supplies running low.

Reports on the BBC said that diesel was being limited at Pease Pottage Services to 30 per customer.

The situation was worse further down the A23 with petrol pumps closed in Burgess Hill and a petrol station on Dyke Road in Brighton was dry at 6.30pm on Saturday.

Brighton was badly hit with no petrol at the Esso garage in Patcham and the Shell garages in Preston Park and Hove as many drivers started to panic buy fuel.

Were you turned away from the petrol pumps at the weekend or limited on what you could buy – please email ed.sexton@sussexnewspapers.co.uk with your comments.
