Funding to be agreed for Crawley good causes
A number of good causes in Crawley could be given cash boosts next week.
Members of the East Crawley County Local Committee will decide on Thursday March 14 whether to award money from the Community Initiative Fund – which helps projects that benefit the local area.
Chairman Cllr Richard Burrett said: “We are always delighted to be able to help new projects and good causes in the East Crawley CLC area.
“This year we received £17,200 from the CIF fund and hope to allocate it all.
“If any organisation needs support for a new scheme, I would urge them to apply for a grant now as we will soon be considering new applications for the next financial year.”
Members will also make a final decision on the proposed traffic calming scheme for Grattons Drive, Pound Hill, and will consider their priorities for proposed Traffic Regulation Orders for 2013-14.
Members will also consider last year’s county council investigation into the June floods and December’s heavy rain and will discuss the findings of the investigation in relation to Crawley.
Members of the public are invited to raise questions during an open forum.
The meeting, which starts at 7pm, will take place in The Longley Room, Crawley Library.
