Ifield Community College has said it is pleased with the success of its students.
A total of 92 per cent achieved five or more GCSEs, however, the number of pupils achieving five or more A*-C including English and maths fell from 43 per cent last year to 35 per cent.
Acting principal Richard Cowper said: “Although the headline result of 35 per cent 5A*-C including English and maths is disappointing, we recognise this has been a challenging year for the college, staff and students who have worked incredibly hard.
“The school now moves forward into an exciting era under the leadership of our new principal.”
Individual successes include: Eryk Pracon achieved nine A*/A grades, Reece Fraser and Jose Dos Santos eight A*/A grades, Carla-Anta Tsoungui and Gryzia Strazalkowska seven A*/A grades, Sigrid Ruent, Nav Chandrakumar and Chloe Hedger six A*/A grades and Monica Vaidya and Thomas Owen achieving five A*/A grades.
