GCSES:Thomas Bennett and St Wilfrid's results & pictures

STUDENTS at Thomas Bennett Community College have once again broken previous records of GCSE achievement.

The numbers of students gaining 5A*-C grades went up by a further 7% this year to make it our highest ever set of results at 48%.

This year more students than ever before (96%) gained at least one grade or more at GCSE.

Head Teacher Yasmin Maskatiya said: "Our value-added score is set to go over 1000 for the first time in our history. This is the measure that the league tables are based on nationally and demonstrates how much progress all students make.

"As ever, I would like to heartily congratulate our students for another record-breaking year. Thanks also to our staff who have really supported and guided students to success."

Students at St Wilfrid's had a very successful year of GCSE results.

A massive 61 per cent if students achieved five A* to C grades, 51 per cent of students achieved A* to C grades including maths and English and 20 per cent of students achieved 10 or more A* to C grades.

Headteacher Jonathan Morris said: "We are proud of our students this year who are pushing forward achievements at St Wilfrid's in leaps and bounds."
