Teenagers have been helping the community by sprucing up a garden.

Members of the National Citizen Service (NCS) visited the Age UK centre in Shackleton Road, Crawley, as part of their volunteer work. “They were a really fantastic group of kids,” said Elaine Sayers, from Age UK. “Really willing to help, they were sanding down and painting garden furniture, clearing rubbish. They have turned it back into a usable garden.” Alicia Hales from NCS said the week had been ‘great fun’ but also busy as a team also worked at the Springboard Project.
