Governors selected for three schools

Governors have been selected for three schools in Crawley.

Following a meeting of the West Crawley County Local Committee on January 14, members met in private to examine applications from six candidates.

Stephen Joyce was appointed governor at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School, Langley Green, for a four-year term.

Mrs Deborah Saville was appointed governor at to Ifield Community College for a four-year term.

Miss Josephine Anne McQuade was appointed governor at St Francis of Assisi School, Southgate, for a four-year term.

The application from Edward James Croal for a four-year term at Ifield Community College, was deferred for consideration at the next meeting of the CLC at Crawley Library on March 20.

The application from Chris Garrett for a four-year term at Ifield Community College was refused, as was the application from Shabbir Hussain for a four-year term at St Francis of Assisi School, Southgate.
