Grand opening will see Tilgate pub become Grasshopper again
THE Tilgate Pub will be officially reverting to its former name, The Grasshopper, with a grand opening night on Friday (February 17).
New landlord Tee-Jay Patel is a member of the family which has run The Downsman, in Southgate, for three years.
Admission is free to the opening night event which will run from 8pm to midnight, with a complimentary drink on arrival. There will be a sample buffet from their menu. Live performance by Adam Knight.
The Ashdown Drive pub will be open from 10.30am on Saturday (February 18) for everyone on their way to the Crawely Town Football Club game v Stoke City.
On Sunday (February 19) the game will be shown on the TVs followed by the Brighton v Liverpool game.
