Police arrested two people and seized a gun, cash and drugs after executing three warrants in Crawley.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 23-year-old woman, from Crawley, this afternoon (Friday August 8).

A spokesman for Sussex Police said both were held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and money laundering.

The man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and the woman on suspicion of possession of a shotgun without a certificate.

The spokesman added that, for operational reasons, police would not yet be revealing where the raids – which were carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act – took place.

Class A and Class B drugs, several thousand pounds in cash and a firearm were recovered.

The man and woman remained in custody on Friday afternoon (August 8).
