Ifield school flooded

St Margaret’s Primary School in Ifield has been flooded following downpours today (Friday December 14).

Large quantities of water were reported to have entered the school.

Fire and rescue crews from Crawley and Horley attended and put sandbags in place to prevent mroe water entering.

Horley’s specialist operational support unit was sent to the school, after being called out at 3.30pm.

The incident was left with the headteacher and the school will open on Monday as usual
