Jewellery found in road

Jewellery believed to be linked to the spate of burglaries from Asian households in Crawley has been discovered in a road near Buchan Park.

Police are appealing for the owner of the jewellery, which was found on the A264, to come forward.

It was discovered by a member of the public on Sunday (October 21) at around 2:30pm.

The jewellery, which is described by police as costume jewellery, is not thought to be valuable.

PC Jason Marsland said: “We believe that this jewellery might have been stolen and seperated from the real gold and then dumped. Anyone who recognises the items is asked to come forward to police on 101 quoting serial 1008.”
