A Crawley salon is celebrating after being voted Crawley Observer Salon of the Year.
Boutique Salon in Ifield Green was voted for by members of the public and fended off tough competition from rival crimpers in the town.
The award was even more satisfying for the team as Boutique only opened last year.
Readers of the Crawley Observer cut out entry forms, sent emails and even fired off texts in order to see Boutique walk away with the title.
Earlier this week Bharat Lukka, Group Newspaper Sales & Promotions Manager of JP South, visited the salon at Ifield House to hand over a certificate and unique award.
He said: “I was delighted to meet the team at Boutique, who well deserve the the recognition. This award means an awful lot because it is voted for by the people - many of whom are satisfied customers who wanted the world to know just how much Boutique deserves this recognition. JP South is running several of these competitions and we have already seen thousands vote for their favourite chip shop and we are currently asking the public to vote for its favourite cafe or coffee shop.
“This is our way of rewarding excellence in the community.”
The salon’s Carly Murray and Michele Hyam said: “Boutique would like to thank all our wonderful clients for voting for us to win Salon of the year 2014. It’s a great achievement for us, especially as we are still only just a year old! We look forward to welcoming clients old and new as we continue to grow.”
The salon provides a wide range of hair, beauty and massage services and also doubles up as florists, offering free delivery on orders of over £20.
