Kitchen fire in Horley

An elderly woman was rescued from her home after a kitchen fire in Horley last night (Tuesday October 2).

Horley Fire and Rescue attended the scene in Wesley Close at 11.05pm after an automatic fire alarm was raised.

Two ambulances arrived at the scene after receiving a call at 11.20pm and were able to provide treatment at the scene.

The fire was believed to have been caused by unattended cooking.
