Man arrested after Bewbush burglary

A 22-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested after a burglary in Bewbush.

The man has been bailed until February 24 while enquiries continue.

Three men broke into a house on Behenna Close at around 8.30pm on December 30 and threatened the two occupants before demanding money, said Sussex Police.

The intruders broke into a safe in an upstairs bedroom and made off with a large quantity of money and personal property.

Detective Sergeant Jon Pink of West Sussex CID said: “The victims were unhurt but are obviously very shaken by the event.”
