Man in 60s '˜very distressed' after robbery ordeal

Police appealed for witnesses after two men pushed a man in his 60s to the floor and stole his wallet in Horley.

A police spokesman said the robbery happened in Longbridge Road at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday, February 11).

The victim sustained minor injuries to the face and cash was stolen during the incident.

Investigating Officer, DC Gavin Dublin-Cumberbatch, said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim who was understandably left shaken and very distressed.

“If you witnessed the incident or noticed anybody acting suspiciously in the area at the time it took place please call 101 – any information could assist with our enquiries and help bring those responsible to justice.”

The two people were wearing black jackets and had hoods covering their heads.
