More than £3,500 was raised at a school summer fete.
Manor Green Primary School and College held the fundraiser in its halls on June 28.
Greg Tyler, chair of Friends of Manor Green, said: “It was one of the best years we’ve ever had.
“We normally raise about £3,000.”
Parents, pupils, local residents, Henry Smith MP and the Mayor of Crawley, Cllr Brenda Smith, attended the event.
Manor Green College students put on a dancing demonstration.
The entertainment included a barbeque, various stalls bouncy castle and Ferrari sport car.
Greg, 53, of Ifield Road, West Green, whose daughter Naomi, 16, attends Manor Green College, said the dancing was his highlight of the fete.
