MRSA bug found at East Surrey Hospital
A case of hospital bug MRSA was found at East Surrey Hospital last week, bringing the total for the year to two. There were also two cases of CDiff last week with norovirus affecting some wards.
Deputy Chief Executive of the hospital Paul Simpson said: “We have achieved remarkable improvements since last year in both MRSA and CDiff and we are still below our expected numbers for the year, but that doesn’t make any new cases acceptable.”
