Museum Society to hold history talks
CRAWLEY Museum Society will be holding a series of talks over the next few months culminating in a progress report about its coming move.
The talks will all be held on the last Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm, is the Crawley Horticultural Hall on Ifield Avenue, West Green, next to the ambulance station.
On September 25, Margaret Nicolle will talk about ‘William Allen – The Quaker Friend of Lindfield’ and on October 30, Gillian Pitt will discuss ‘Post War Britain 1942-1952’.
The Society’s AGM will be held on November 27, followed by a report by the museum curator Helen Poole on the progress of the planned move to The Tree on the corner of the High Street and the Boulevard.
Refreshments and discussion follow the talks. All visitors are welcome (non-members £2). For more information contact Crawley Museum on 01293 539088.
