New snowfall fails to disrupt services - no school closures

LAST night’s (Thursday Feb 9) additional snowfall across the county has not caused any further disruption so far.

Schools and colleges remain open today (Friday Feb 10), though parents and guardians in any doubt should check the county council website or contact the school or college.

The only problem for commuters appears to be on the train.

Due to signalling problems in the Balcombe area northbound services Haywards Heath to Three Bridges are subject to delays up to 20 minutes at present.

However, there are warnings that the new snow has caused some minor roads and pavements to turn icy again.
