Northgate roundabout closed at night

Northgate Roundabout will be closed overnight for two nights as part of the Hazelwick Flyover works.

The roundabout will be prohibited from 7pm tonight (February 20) until 6am tomorrow (February 21) and then again from 7pm on February 21 until 6am on February 22.

This closure is necessary to allow for delivery and installation of header beams.

The alternative route for westbound and northbound traffic will be via the Tesco roundabout on Hazelwick Avenue, then round the roundabout returning in a Northerly direction.

Vehicles can then either use the flyover to go to Manor Royal or go back down the slip lane to Northgate Roundabout to pick up the A2011 or A2004.

The alternative route for eastbound and southbound traffic will be via Gatwick Road Roundabout, then round the roundabout returning in a Southerly direction.

Vehicles can either use the slip lane to rejoin the A2011 or use the flyover to get to Three Bridges.

Traffic wishing to use the A2004 or North Road will have to travel South to the Tesco roundabout and then double-back to use the slip lane.

Any queries about the effect of the closure on traffic using the highway please contact West Sussex County Council on 01243 642105.
