A caring girl has had her long hair shaved off to raise money for Cancer Research UK – and has sent her locks to The Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children.

Olivia Tully, 10, of Horley, had her head shaved on New Year’s Day after being inspired to raise money after seeing photos of one of her mother’s friends, who had lost her own hair to cancer. Proud mum Jackie (pictured inset with Olivia before the shave) said: “My older daughter, Samantha, was so touched by Olivia’s bravery on the day that she wanted to support her sister and had most of her hair cut off too.”
