Overnight road closures on A23

Parts of the A23 between the M23 junction 11 at Pease Pottage and A23/A272 Bolney junction will be closed overnight this month.

Closure of carriageways is needed mainly for adjusting the traffic management between different phases of construction during the Handcross to Warninglid widening works.

The latest closures, all from 8pm to 6am, are:

The A23 southbound will be closed overnight from Tuesday 8 January to Wednesday 9 January.

The A23 northbound will be closed overnight from Monday 14 January to Tuesday 15 January.

The A23 northbound will be closed overnight from Tuesday 15 January to Wednesday 16 January.

The A23 northbound will be closed overnight from Wednesday 16 January to Thursday 17 January.

The A23 southbound will be closed overnight from Monday 28 January to Tuesday 29 January.

The A23 southbound will be closed overnight from Tuesday 29 January to Wednesday 30 January.

There will be regular overnight closures of one lane of the A23 southbound until the end of January.
