Passengers safe as bus catches fire in Crawley

Crawley firefighters tackled a bus fire today (Monday December 23).

The bus caught fire in Sullivan Drive, Bewbush, at the junction with Barlow Road.

Two fire crews were called at just after 1pm and a spokesman for West Sussex Fire & Rescue said the vehicle had been “severely damaged” in the blaze.

She added: “Everyone was out of the bus when we arrived. The fire is believed to have been accidental from an electrical fault.”
