People were invited to bring along their spare change to Ifield Parade on Sunday (February 10) and help create the outline of a squirrel to raise money for the 2nd Ifield Scouts.

Despite the torrential rain and blustery conditions, the event raised an impressive £186.

Wendy Keeley, who helped organise the event, said: “This was a fantastic achievement in view of the weather which reduced passing trade considerably.”

The money will go towards building the scouts’ new HQ.
