Pensioner dies one week after accident in Crawley

A pedestrian has died a week after being seriously hurt in an accident in Ifield, Crawley.

Bernard McNeill, 77 of Faygate Lane, Faygate, near Horsham, was crossing Ifield Drive on Wednesday February 26 when he was in collision with two cars.

Mr McNeill was crossing the road near Ifield shopping parade at the junction with Parham Road at 6pm when the accident happened.

He was taken to St George’s Hospital in London with a serious head injury. He died there yesterday (Wednesday March 5).

The accident involved a Ford Fiesta and a Volkswagen Passat.
