Police name man who died after Turners Hill crash

Police have identified a man who died after his van left the road and collidied with a tree in Turners Hill on Wednesday (March 13).

Stephen Shearman, 40 of North Street, Turners Hill, was taken to East Surrey Hospital following the accident at 6.50am in Turners Hill Road but died later that evening from his injuries.

No other vehicles were involved.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, who has not yet spoken to police, to get in touch on 101 quoting Operation Japan or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk
