An efit has been released of a man who is believed to be responsible for robbing a woman in Crawley

Police have released an efit of a man wanted in connection with a robbery in Crawley on Saturday (November 10).

A woman, carrying two bags, was returning home after shopping in Broadfield Barton at 5.45pm when she was grabbed from behind by a man.

He knocked her glasses off and grabbed her purse before running off in the direction of Sneddon Court in Broadfield.

A police spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as black, in his late 30s, 6ft, skinny with black but greying stubble. He was wearing a black jacket with black lapels on the top of the shoulders with the hood up.

“Anyone with information or who saw anyone matching this description is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1230 of 10 November.”
