Postman knocked off bike in attack

A postman told police he was knocked off his bike after an object was thrown at him and hit him in the face.

He was travelling towards Quantock Close, West Green. when he said the attck took place, early on Friday morning (January 4). After being struck he looked up and saw two men running towards Ifield Community College. The suspects did not demand or take anything from the postman who was in uniform but without a post-bag.

The assault occurred at around 7.30am.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting serial 0181 of 04/01.
