Hundreds of homes are without electricity due to a power cut in Broadfield.
The outage affected thousands of customers this afternoon (Tuesday October 29) but power has gradually been restored to most.
UK Power Networks blamed the outage on an underground fault.
A spokesman said: “UK Power Networks would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by a power interruption in the Broadfield area of Crawley this afternoon following an underground fault with the electricity network.
“Several thousand customers would have been without power, but power has been restored in stages, and currently there are 830 still without their usual reliable supply.
“We would like to reassure the customers still without power that we will be able to restore them as soon as repairs are completed.
“We are working as quickly as is safely possible on site, to do this.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.”
