Sixty-nine households were left without electricity after a windblown tree branch came down on overhead power lines.

Power was lost in the Holmbush Farm area near Crawley Road from 6.13pm to 8.30pm on Saturday (December 21).

Engineers worked to remove the branch and restore power.

A spokeswoman for UK Power Networks said: “We understand how difficult it is being without electricity and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
