Protestors ordered off private property
PEOPLE protesting against the deportation of detainees were ordered off private property.
Employees at WH Commercial on Kelvin Way, Manor Royal, called police when up to eight protesters arived at 9.30am on Tuesday (June 30).
The company holds a contract to transport illegal immigrants from deportation centres to airports.
George Heron, director of WH Commercial said: "About six to eight people came onto our property protesting against the deportation of
detainees and our part in moving them.
"Unfortunately it is private property so the police removed them into the road but there was no problem really, they weren't at all abusive or anything.
"We have the contract for the detainee removal from the centres to the airport of exit."
He added: "They were no bother at all, they were just trying to make their views known."
A Sussex police spokesman said: "Approximately eight protestors were blocking the driveway.
"As soon as we received the call we attended the scene. We've spoken to the protestors and details were taken.
"No one was arrested and they were moved on."
