Raise a cup to the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Coffee lovers will be able to enjoy a cup or two while raising money for cancer support by joining in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday (September 28).

Crawley businesses including: The Charcoal Burner, in Furnace Green; the Half Moon, in Southgate; Heathy Farm, on Balcombe Road; Legends and Shades, both in the High Street; the Windmill, in Gossops Green; and the Crawley Garden Centre, on Copthorne Road will all be putting the kettle on for anyone who would like to take part.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event. Last year, 51,000 people signed up to the coffee morning, raising a record £10million for the charity. This year Macmillan is hoping to raise even more money.

Karen Methven, Crawley & Gatwick Business Watch manager, said: “This is especially important to members this year as many have had family and colleagues going through this unforgiving illness, and it is our way of showing them support and helping to raise funds for an organisation which makes this battle slighter more bearable.”
