Rings with a sentimental value stolen during burglary

Jewellery was stolen in a break-in at a Crawley home.

Police are investigating a burglary at a house in Edrich Road.

The house is believed to have been broken into during daylight hours on December 22 while the occupants were out, police revealed today (Monday December 30).

Two gold rings - one shaped like a hand with a diamond on the cuff and the other a gold wedding band with chevrons around it were stolen. The rings hold sentimental value for the victim. A camera and two laptops were also stolen.

Detective Constable Karen Young said: “If anyone saw suspicious activity in the area at that time, or has been offered jewellery like this, we ask them to contact police.”
