Students proved themselves kings and queens of rock when they took to the stage for their school production.
Youngsters from St Wilfrid’s School, Southgate, sang and danced their way through four performances of the West End hit show We Will Rock You last week.
More than 1,000 people watched what has been praised as the school’s best-selling show ever.
The show, based around songs by Queen, starred Adam Lay as Gallileo, Alex Hill as Scaramouch, Shahbaz Mohammad as Khashoggi, Hollie Witton at Killer Queen, Theodore Zambellis as Brit, Leah Sheridan as Meat, Shagass Pam as Pop and Alex Lawton as Big Macca.
Headteacher Michael Ferry said: “The quality of this year’s production of We Will Rock You was outstanding and the enthusiasm and energy the cast and crew put into the show was phenomenal.
“It really does take a dedicated team of students and staff to be able to produce the kind of high standard performances every night and I am incredibly proud of them all.”
James Hadden, performance director, added: “The efforts of this year’s cast of We Will Rock You were astonishing and they have blown me away again by their professionalism and talent.
“We also pride ourselves on only using students in all areas of the production including our tech team and this year their hard work, mature attitude and professionalism was beyond expectation.
“This has been an incredibly exhausting but amazing experience for me and yet again I feel proud to be working with such a talented, enthusiastic and genuinely lovely group of people.”
