Police have urged people to be vigilant after a spate of overnight thefts from vehicles in Maidenbower.

The first theft happened in Redgrave Drive on Sunday (January 26) between 1am on Saturday night and 1pm on Sunday.

Police were told sunglasses had been taken.

A car in Gibbons Close had a sat nav taken from it between 8.15pm on Tuesday (January 28) and 8.30am on Wednesday (January 29).

Also that night a car in Warner Close was broken into and a sat nav and loose change were taken.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Always make sure your vehicles are left secure and that nothing on value is left on display.

“Where possible try and park your vehicle in a well lit area.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk”
