The Crawley Labour Group joined shadow transport minister Gordon Marsden at Three Bridges Railway Station on Monday (January 6) to gather commuters’ views about rail fare increases.

Mr Marsden (pictured, left, with Crawley councillor Chris Oxlade) said Labour would cap rail fare rises on key routes and look at giving councils and people a greater input in how the network was governed. Crawley Conservative MP Henry Smith said the Government had acted on concerns by capping fares so they will not rise on average by more than the inflation rate.
