Six match ban for former Crawley boss

FORMER Crawley Town FC manager Steve Evans has been given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3,000 after being found guilty of using abusive and insulting words and behaviour.

He was found guilty by the Football Association at an independent regulatory commission hearing.

The offence relates to his time in charge of Crawley and happened during the team’s infamous away game against Bradford City when five players were sent off following a mass brawl on March 27 2012.

Evans, now at Rotherham Utd, was found guilty of abusing a Bradford member of staff with reference to her gender.
