THE achievements of some of the town’s most green-fingered, community-minded people were recognised last week when the Hawth was turned over to the Let’s FACE It! Awards.

The evening celebrated the work of normal men, women and children who have gone above and beyond to make their streets and neighbourhoods look extra special.

The ceremony followed hot on the heels of the town’s recent successes in the Britain in Bloom and South and South East in Bloom competitions.
