Sportsman breaks record for longest game of squash

LOCAL sportsman Neil Hide, spent 26 hours on court as he broke the record for the longest game of squash ever played.

Hide, who is raising money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, had a team helping him, including eight friends from Crawley Squash Club, who each took turns to play him.

The record attempt started at 1pm on Friday at the K2 Leisure Centre and finished at 5pm the following day.

Mayor of Crawley Brenda Burgess was on hand to kick off the successful record attempt at K2 on Friday last week.
