The following schools in Crawley have informed West Sussex County Council they will be closed or partially closed due to strike action today (Thursday July 10).
Holy Trinity CofE Secondary School, Gossops Green, is closed.
Northgate Primary School: Apple, Lime and Blackthorn classes are closed.
Oriel High School, Maidenbower, is open to Years 7, 8 and 9, but closed to Years 10 and 12.
Southgate Primary School is closed.
West Green Primary School is closed.
The NUT’s industrial action is part of ongoing disputes over central government proposals for workload, pensions and performance-related pay.
Firefighters at Crawley Fire Station, in Ifield Avenue, will also be striking from 10am-7pm.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) is currently in dispute with the Government over changes to the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme and conditions of service.
