A talented 13-year-old has raised £250 for two good causes by singing her socks of in Asda. Leah Sheridan, of Northgate, was at the supermarket in Pegler Way on April 17 where she entertained shoppers with her renditions of 14 songs. The money raised will go towards building work at the Friary Pre-School and to support a local family which is battling cancer.
Leah said: “I enjoyed every minute singing at Asda and I would do it again and again if I had a chance. I am so happy with how much was raised - I couldn’t believe it.”
