Tea towel starts fire at West Green flat

An elderly woman had to be given oxygen following a fire at a West Green flat on Saturday.

Firefighters went to a ground floor flat at Town Barn Road at around 3.45pm.

A tea towel on a cooker had caught fire but was out when emergency services arrived.

The woman was then given oxygen for minor smoke inhalation.
