Teenagers injured in unprovoked attack

Three teenagers were hurt – one seriously – during an unprovoked attack by a group of men in Broadfield yesterday (Tuesday October 30).

Officers from Sussex Police are investigating the assault, which took place on the footbridge at Broadfield Barton at around 4.05pm.

A 14-year-old boy received serious head and arm injuries, which are not considered life-threatening. He remains in hospital today (Wednesday October 31).

A 16-year-old girl received a minor arm injury and a 15-year-old boy received minor facial injuries.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1056 of 30/10 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
