Three arrested after Broadfield Barton attack

Three people were arrested today (Thursday November 1) following a serious assault in Broadfield Barton on Tuesday afternoon.

Three teenagers were attacked leaving a 14-year-old boy with serious head and arm injuries.

A 16-year-old girl suffered an arm injury and a 15-year-old boy had minor facial injuries.

Three men aged 40, 32 and 18, from Crawley and Copthorne, have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.

Detective Inspector Tracy Edwards of West Sussex CID said: “I would continue to appeal for any witnesses to this incident, who haven’t get spoken to police, to get in contact.

“Officers continue to carry out high visibility patrols in the area and anyone with information or concerns can speak to them.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1056 of 30/10 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
