Three people injured after car hits tree

THREE people were taken to hospital following an accident on Sunday morning (September 23).

Three ambulances were called to Balcombe Road, Tinsley Green, at 11.55am after a car left the road and hit a tree.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to free one woman.

Two people were taken to East Surrey Hospital while one woman, with potentially more serious injuries, was taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, suffering chest and back pain.
