Two charged after fishermen are shot in Crawley

Two men have appeared in court after two fishermen were shot with an air pistol in Crawley.

The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday (May 11) at Tilgate Lake where three men were night fishing.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said one victim received wounds to his head and arm, the other to his forehead and hand.

Gintas Piscelinas, 25, unemployed of Tierney Road, London has been charged with possession of an air weapon with intent to cause fear of violence.

Modestas Kubilius, 23, a builder from Walesbeech, Crawley has been charged with two counts of ABH and possession of a air weapon with intent to cause fear of violence.

They appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court today (Monday May 12) and were both been remanded to appear on June 5 at Lewes Crown Court.
