Two people were taken to hospital following an accident in Horley this morning (Tuesday October 22).
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said the accident, between a car and a lorry, took place in Fernhill Road at around 9.15am.
An ambulance crew, which was in the same road, stopped to offer assistance.
Two more ambulances were sent to the scene and the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance was called.
The spokesman said: “The driver of the car, a man aged around 40, was walking around at the scene but was immobilised as a precaution, using a collar and back board.
“The Air Ambulance crew travelled in the ambulance by land with the patient.”
No information has been released about the second patient.
