Two seriously hurt after tree trunk goes through car in Crawley

Two people have been seriously injured in an accident which saw their car collide with a tree.

Emergency services were called to Breezehurst Drive, Bewbush, in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday June 18).

A police spokesman said the accident happened at around 2.45am when a Toyota Starlet lost control and collided with the central reservation and then a tree.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Crawley, and his 25-year-old passenger from Twekesbury, were both taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information or saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Packard.
